Det framg\u00e5r av en uttalelse fra velleder Ivar Gudmundsen til Plan- og milj\u00f8utvalget. Torget b\u00f8r f\u00f8rst og fremst v\u00e6re en m\u00f8teplass, handleplass og festplass for tettstedet, p\u00e5pekes det. Uttalelsen gjengis i sin helhet nedenfor.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Soon og Omegns Vel viser til sak som skal behandles i plan- og milj\u00f8utvalget 26.11.2012 om opprusting av Son Torg. Planforslaget er utarbeidet av Landskapsarkitektene Berg & Dyring AS og tar hensyn til kulturminnene som er funnet p\u00e5 torget i \u00e5r. Planen er et resultat av sterkt engasjement fra Riksantikvaren, Akershus fylkeskommune, lokal- og fylkespolitikere og fra lokalbefolkningen.<\/p>\n

Planen viser kulturminnene integrert i torget, og at torget ellers f\u00e5r et dekke av storgatestein. Torget og Storgata forbi Thorneg\u00e5rden senkes til opprinnelig niv\u00e5. Demonterbare pullerter gir mulighet for \u00e5 dele inn torget i ulike \u00abrom\u00bb etter behov. Det gis mulighet for 11 parkeringsplasser.<\/p>\n

Soon og Omegns Vel st\u00f8tter forslaget, men \u00f8nsker minst mulig parkering p\u00e5 denne unike plassen i Son. Torget b\u00f8r f\u00f8rst og fremst v\u00e6re en m\u00f8teplass og handleplass \u2013 og festplass \u2013 for tettstedet.<\/p>\n

Det er gledelig at Vestby kommune n\u00e5 \u2013 for f\u00f8rste gang \u2013 standardhever det offentlige rommet i Son Sentrum, dvs. Storgata og Son Torg, som gjennom flere \u00e5r har f\u00e5tt en stemoderlig behandling.<\/strong><\/p>\n
