Det dav\u00e6rende ladestedet var en stor \u201dimporthavn\u201d under brennevinsforbudet.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Av Svein-H. Strand<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Vi kan forst\u00e5 denne virksomheten eller ei, utfra datidens sosiale forhold. Men noen \u00e6re er det ikke akkurat tale om \u00e5 drysse over Son ved \u00e5 oppette et slikt museum.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Store deler av den voksne befolkning i Son deltok nemlig direkte eller indirekte i ulovlighetene. Indirekte ved blant annet \u00e5 gjemme spritkanner i husene sine.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>HETVINSFORBUD var det ogs\u00e5 &#8211; fra 1921 til 1923. Men t\u00f8rsten etter den hete vin var minst like stor da som n\u00e5, selv om halve den voksne befolkningen i landet i begynnelsen var for forbudet.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Grunnlaget for den omfattende smuglervirksomheten var sv\u00e6rt god, enda faren for \u00e5 bli tatt &#8211; b\u00e5de p\u00e5 sj\u00f8en og p\u00e5 land &#8211; var relativt stor. <\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Men stor var ogs\u00e5 fortjenesten for dem som fikk sakene velberget inn til det store markedet i Oslo via landeveien.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Det sies at smuglere i ro og fred losset kanne p\u00e5 kanne med smuglerbrennevin p\u00e5 brygga i Son. <\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Et ukjent antall liter ble ogs\u00e5 h\u00e5ndtert over brygga i Kj\u00f8vangen nord for Son, og i bukter og viker andre steder langs Vestby-kysten.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>FORFATTEREN Arthur Omre (1887-1967), som bodde i Son en tid, var med p\u00e5 denne trafikken.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Mange omkom p\u00e5 sj\u00f8en etter forlis da de pr\u00f8vde \u00e5 komme unna tollerb\u00e5tene.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Omre var stadig p\u00e5 flukt fra politiet, men ble omsider tatt, d\u00f8mt og fengslet. Det er dette milj\u00f8et han skildrer i sin gjennombruddsroman <em>\u201dSmuglere\u201d. <\/em>Romanen vakte oppsikt da den ble utgitt i 1935.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>En folkeavstemming i 1919 viste at hele 62 prosent var for fortsatt forbud.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Forbud mot b\u00e5de brennevin og hetvin ble derfor stadfestet i lov av 16. september 1921. <\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Men hetvinsforbudet ble opphevet allerede i 1923.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Og en ny folkeavstemming, i oktober 1926, viste at flertallet, 56 prosent, n\u00e5 var <em>mot<\/em> brennevinsforbudet. <\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Ved lov av 15. april 1927 ble derfor ogs\u00e5 dette forbudet opphevet. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>Views: 96<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(Fra LM desember 2003) (Republisert 30.12.22) Tilfeldig var det ikke at det var i Son det ble arbeidet for \u00e5 f\u00e5 et nasjonalt smuglermuseum.
