\"\"(Publisert 09.03.23) Med kommunestyre- og fylkestingvalgene 2023 bare et halvt \u00e5r fram i tid, starter LM n\u00e5 med orienteringer om organer som p\u00e5 hvert sitt felt bidrar til styringen av Vestby kommune. Disse er valgt av og underlagt kommunestyret.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Men n\u00e5r det gjelder kontrollutvalget, som alle kommuner er p\u00e5lagt \u00e5 ha, er det prim\u00e6rt et organ kommunestyret skal forholde seg til. Det ligger i navnet.<\/p>\n

De konkrete arbeidsoppgavene er n\u00e6r knyttet til kommunestyrets l\u00f8pende arbeid. Men hvor mange vet at kontrollutvalget ogs\u00e5 er innrettet mot oss velgere, og at det skal v\u00e6re mulig \u00e5 komme med innspill – i betydningen rett til utvalget?<\/p>\n

Det som mange vil mene er kjernen i utvalgets arbeidsfelt, er nemlig formulert i tredje og siste punkt som vi her gjengir i sin helhet:<\/strong><\/p>\n

3.<\/strong> Kontrollutvalget \u00f8nsker \u00e5 v\u00e6re synlig for innbyggere og brukere av <\/span><\/span>kommunens tjenester.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

3.1<\/span><\/span><\/strong> Innbyggerne skal ha mulighet til \u00e5 f\u00f8lge med p\u00e5 hva kontrollutvalget arbeider <\/span>med. Det er viktig for demokratiet at arbeidet til kontrollutvalget er synlig og <\/span>tilgjengelig slik at det er mulighet for \u00e5 komme med innspill. Den enkelte <\/span>innbygger har krav p\u00e5 god og reell tilgang til informasjon om kommunen og <\/span><\/span>kontrollutvalget sine aktiviteter.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

3.2<\/span><\/span><\/strong> Media skal ha kjennskap til kontrollutvalget sitt arbeid for \u00e5 kunne sette seg inn <\/span>i aktuelle saker som kontrollutvalget arbeider med. Kontrollutvalgets saker kan <\/span>ha allmenn interesse ut over kommunens ansatte, politikere og innbyggere.
