Kommunen fikk for noen \u00e5r siden et eksternt firma til \u00e5 beregne antatt befolkningsvekst de neste ti \u00e5rene. Dette firmaet beregnet at befolkningsveksten skulle v\u00e6re p\u00e5 500 personer hvert \u00e5r, og det var dette tallet kommunen la til grunn.<\/div>\n

En byforsker advarte mot at kommunen kanskje tok litt hardt i. Statistisk Sentralbyr\u00e5 ansl\u00e5r nemlig at Vestby vil vokse med gjennomsnittlig 184 personer hvert \u00e5r, fram mot 2050.<\/strong><\/div>\n

MEN TILBAKE til \u00d8rajordet og byggeplanene. Ikke langt bortenfor ligger golfbanen. Der ble det s\u00f8kt om \u00e5 f\u00e5 bygge et lite antall boligenheter. R\u00e5dmannen og overordnede offentlige organer frar\u00e5det dette, ikke minst under henvisning til \u00f8kt biltrafikk i Kol\u00e5veien og over den smale Son bru.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
Men bygge fikk de, og trafikken p\u00e5 Kol\u00e5sveien og videre til Kj\u00f8vangen bare \u00f8ker \u2013 ikke minst p\u00e5 sommerstid \u2013 med \u00f8kende folketall og \u00f8kende interesse for den s\u00f8rlandske idyll der nede.<\/div>\n

\u00d8rajordet har ellers gjort nytte som snuplass for rutebussen, parkeringsplass ved store arrangementer i Son og som plass for Cirkus Arnardo.<\/div>\n

La \u00d8rajordet v\u00e6re som det er, som en reserve for framtidige arealbehov knyttet til alt annet en boliger. Hva har vi ellers i Son \u00e5 tilby for ulike etableringer innenfor handel og service, offentlig som privat. Alt nytt kan jo ikke v\u00e6re p\u00e5 Sletta.<\/div>\n

Og kanskje kan noen regne p\u00e5 hva det vil koste \u00e5 oppgradere brua til en standard som svarer til dagens behov?<\/strong><\/div>\n
