Det er ogs\u00e5 fordi vi er n\u00f8dt til \u00e5 tenke nytt og mer ansvarlig og langsiktig om hvordan vi utvikler kommunen dersom ressursene her ogs\u00e5 skal komme framtidige generasjoner til gode.<\/p>\n<p>De siste ti \u00e5rene har Vestby vokst i stort tempo. \u00d8kningen i antall arbeidsplasser, innbyggere og boliger har mange positive sider. Det er lett \u00e5 forst\u00e5 at folk \u00f8nsker \u00e5 bosette seg og satse p\u00e5 den flotte kommunen v\u00e5r. Befolkninga her er mangfoldig. Vi er en attraktiv kommune for sm\u00e5barnsfamilier. Og vi har et riktig kulturliv, et n\u00e6ringsliv i stadig blomstring og ikke minst en flott og variert natur.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e5 st\u00e5r vi ved et veiskille. Vi m\u00e5 l\u00f8se store oppgaver om vi skal trygge b\u00e5de oss selv og framtida til kommende generasjoner \u2013 ogs\u00e5 Vestby. Fortsatt har vi en stor jobb \u00e5 gj\u00f8re med \u00e5 kutte klimagassutslipp. Vi skal gjennom en storstilt satsing p\u00e5 naturvern. Begge deler har Norge forpliktet seg til i FNs organer. Samtidig skal vi redusere forskjellene i samfunnet og bygge stabile velferdsordninger og omsorgstilbud. Skal vi lykkes, trenger vi stabil og langsiktig styring. Vi m\u00e5 styrke velferden, kutte utslipp og redusere presset p\u00e5 naturen.<\/p>\n<p>Milj\u00f8partiet De Gr\u00f8nne har hele tiden v\u00e6rt imot det foresl\u00e5tte Liabr\u00e5tenprosjektet og utbygging p\u00e5 \u00d8rajordet. I tillegg til uopprettelig \u00f8deleggelse av natur, handler dette ogs\u00e5 om \u00e5 ta vare p\u00e5 steders egenart og kvaliteter. Son m\u00e5 utvikles ut fra en helhetlig plan. Det samme gjelder for Hvitsten og flere andre steder i kommunen. Vestby MDG vil for eksempel at et sted som Hvitsten skal ha et godt kollektivtilbud. Vi vil ellers s\u00f8rge for at de veiene vi har skal v\u00e6re sikre for fotgjengere og syklister. Slik f\u00e5r man ogs\u00e5 mulighet til \u00e5 velge bort \u00e5 bruke bil.<\/p>\n<p>For det handler om valg, aldri tvang. Vi har for \u00f8vrig ikke noe imot at du fortsetter \u00e5 kj\u00f8re den bensin- eller dieselbilen du har. Det \u00e5 bruke opp f\u00f8r man kj\u00f8per nytt, eller nytt brukt, er faktisk b\u00e6rekraftig. Folk velger selvf\u00f8lgelig selv hvordan de skal bevege seg rundt, akkurat som de velger selv hvor de skal bo. Men vi vil at det som er klima- og milj\u00f8vennlig skal v\u00e6re enkelt og billig.<\/p>\n<p>Vi er for utvikling og forbedring av samfunnet. Men vi kan ikke akseptere at det skjer p\u00e5 bekostning av felles fundamentale ressurser. Skogen er viktig for innbyggernes trivsel, helse og mulighet til \u00e5 utfolde seg, for dyra, for alle artene som finnes der, og ikke minst for klimaet og beskyttelse mot klimaendringer. Matjorda trenger vi for \u00e5 bli mer selvforsynte p\u00e5 kortreist mat. De boligene vi har behov for, kan bygges p\u00e5 omr\u00e5der som allerede er utviklet.<\/p>\n<p>Utbygging i viktige pressomr\u00e5der kan igjen komme p\u00e5 bordet fra andre partier i neste periode. V\u00e6r ikke i tvil: Vestby MDG vil i s\u00e5 fall fortsette jobben for \u00e5 bevare den naturen vi er s\u00e5 avhengig av. Uansett hvem som blir ordf\u00f8rer i neste periode, mener vi at det aller viktigste n\u00e5 er \u00e5 s\u00f8rge for et solid gr\u00f8nt og solidarisk innsalg i kommunestyret. Bare slik kan barna og barnebarna v\u00e5re g\u00e5 en trygg framtid i m\u00f8te i Vestby.
