\u00a0Strand Prinfo ble registrert som enkeltpersonforetak allerede i 1986, blant annet med tanke p\u00e5 den uavhengige n\u00e6ravisa Vestby-Kur\u00e9ren som ble lansert i 1988. Den var ment \u00e5 skulle fylle tomrommet etter den uavhengige ukeavisa Vestby Avis, som ble utgitt av AS Moss Avis, men senere nedlagt etter at avishuset kom inn i Orkla-gruppen.
\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

(Republisert 29.01.24)<\/span> Vestby-Kur\u00e9ren ble utgitt fra mai 1988, samme m\u00e5ned som de kraftige \u00f8konomiske nedgangstidene startet i Norge.<\/p>\n

Abonnementssalget, etter to gratisutgaver til alle husstander, var en stor suksess gjennom sommeren og h\u00f8sten. Et betalt opplag p\u00e5 1200 eksemplarer ble n\u00e5dd, men annonsesalget sviktet stadig mer. Med betydelige trykkeutgifter, ble hver utgivelse snart et tap.<\/p>\n

Etter flere trykkeriregninger som det ikke var midler til \u00e5 gj\u00f8re opp, m\u00e5tte vi bokstavelig talt sette kroken p\u00e5 kontord\u00f8ra i Thorneg\u00e5rden i Son i midten av november 1988. Samtidig fikk trykkeriselskapet gjennomf\u00f8rt beslag i driftskontoen, noe som gjorde at personlig konkurs ble unng\u00e5tt.<\/p>\n

Men det \u00f8konomiske mellomv\u00e6ret som l\u00e5 til grunn for beslaget var ikke gjort opp f\u00f8r over ti \u00e5r senere.<\/p>\n

Etter nytt\u00e5r ble Vestby-Kur\u00e9ren relansert som m\u00e5nedlig gratisavis til alle husstander i Vestby. Men selv med et opplag p\u00e5 4100 eksemplarer var det ikke mulig \u00e5 f\u00e5 tilstrekkelig med annonseinntekter.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Som en lokal n\u00e6ringsdrivende sa: \u2013 Alle skylder jo hverandre penger!<\/p>\n

Ja, nedgangstidene l\u00e5 tungt over landet, og reklameannonser gikk ofte i boks f\u00f8rst etter store rabatter. Utgaven i mai 1989 ble den siste, og tiden var kommet for \u00e5 stille seg i arbeidss\u00f8kernes stadig lengre rekker.<\/p>\n
