(Publisert 11.03.24) En historisk dag i dag, da Sveriges flagg ble heist utenfor NATO-hovedkvarteret i Brussel, for \u00e5 markere alliansens nye medlemsland,
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

I Norge \u00f8nsker «vi s\u00f8ta bror» hjertelig velkommen. Samtidig ser vi tilbake p\u00e5 de mange fine ti\u00e5r med Sverige som n\u00f8ytralt naboland. Et land som er bygget p\u00e5 et sterkt forsvar og der luftforsvaret er oppsatt med egenproduserte kampfly.<\/p>\n

Det svenske Forsvaret er jo, som hos oss, basert p\u00e5 mobilisering ved krig. Men med over dobbelt s\u00e5 mange innbyggere som vi har i Norge, s\u00e5 er det klart at det er en stor og viktig tilvekst i alliansen.<\/p>\n

N\u00f8ytrale Sverige har ganske lenge v\u00e6rt en NATO-kandidat. Og den utilsl\u00f8rte advarselen fra Russlands president Putin, to \u00e5r etter at han iverksatte sitt fullskala angrep p\u00e5 Ukraina, har jo i h\u00f8yeste grad aktualisert – og kanskje p\u00e5skyndet – den n\u00f8dvendige s\u00f8knadsprosessen.<\/p>\n

UNDER 2. VERDENSKRIG m\u00e5tte tusener av nordmenn av ulike grunner flykte over grensen til det n\u00f8ytrale landet. De tyske okkupantene i Norge respekterte heldigvis den lange svensk-norske grensen.<\/p>\n

Tilsammen tok Sverige imot rundt 40.000 norske flyktninger; de fleste for \u00e5 kunne komme seg videre til Storbritannia og slutte seg til den norske kolonien som allerede var kommet.<\/p>\n

Det er vi mange som tenker p\u00e5 i dag – og det takker vi dem for!<\/p>\n
