(Publisert 25.03.22) (Republisert 11.03.25) (Redig. pressem.) Styrker fra Heimevernet reiser n\u00e5 over til Minnesota for \u00e5 trene med US National Guard. Hensikten er \u00e5 styrke milit\u00e6rfaglige og sosiale b\u00e5nd med en viktig NATO-alliert. Enheter fra US National Guard er samtidig p\u00e5 vei til Norge for \u00e5 gjennomf\u00f8re vintertrening med norske HV-instrukt\u00f8rer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

NOREX er en \u00e5rlig utveksling mellom det norske Heimevernet og amerikanske National Guard. Norske HV-soldater og HV-ungdommer drar til Minnesota for \u00e5 l\u00e6re mer om hvordan amerikanske soldater opererer. Mens amerikanske \u201cHV-soldater\u201d drar til Norge for \u00e5 l\u00e6re \u00e5
\noverleve i norsk natur vinterstid.<\/p>\n

Hensikten med utvekslingen er ogs\u00e5 \u00e5 styrke det bilaterale milit\u00e6re samarbeidet, og \u00e5 bygge gjensidig kulturforst\u00e5else mellom to n\u00e6re NATO-allierte.<\/p>\n

DEN 49. UTVEKSLING I REKKEN<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00c5rets NOREX-utveksling er den 49. i rekken mellom det norske Heimevernet og National Guard i Camp Ripley, Minnesota.<\/p>\n

Dette er dermed den lengst p\u00e5g\u00e5ende milit\u00e6re utvekslingen USA har med noen annen nasjon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Den norske kontingenten best\u00e5r av 108 deltakere, fordelt mellom stab, innsatsstyrkesoldater og HV-ungdom fra hele Norge.<\/p>\n

BUDDYWEEKEND HOS VERTSFAMILIE<\/strong><\/p>\n

De norske soldatene blir v\u00e6rende i Minnesota i to uker. I helgen bor de hos en vertsfamilie og deltar p\u00e5 sosiale opplegg i regi av de amerikanske soldatene. Her er det stort fokus p\u00e5 inkludering av alle, og aktiviteter som passer de fleste.<\/p>\n

Sjef for den norske kontingenten er oberstl\u00f8ytnant Bernt Lockert, som til daglig er sjef for Finnmark Heimevernsdistrikt.<\/p>\n

Det er ogs\u00e5 dette HV-distriktet som har ansvaret for \u00e5rets utveksling, som er satt sammen av soldater og befal fra flere deler av landet.<\/strong><\/p>\n

– HAR VERDI P\u00c5 FLERE NIV\u00c5ER<\/strong><\/p>\n

Oberstl\u00f8ytnant Lockert mener utvekslingen har en verdi p\u00e5 flere niv\u00e5er:<\/p>\n

– USA og Norge er n\u00e6re allierte, og vi har lange tradisjoner for \u00e5 trene og \u00f8ve sammen. En slik utveksling handler om \u00e5 styrke b\u00e5de forsvars-viljen og forsvarsevnen til NATO, gjennom n\u00e6re relasjoner milit\u00e6rt. Men det handler ogs\u00e5 om \u00e5 skape en sosial m\u00f8teplass mellom to land som har mye til felles, understreker Lockert.<\/p>\n

– Vi m\u00e5 heller ikke glemme at det er et stort norsk-amerikansk milj\u00f8 i Minnesota – <\/strong>med mange kulturelle og historiske forbindelser til Norge, tilf\u00f8yer han.<\/strong><\/p>\n
