(Publisert 10.04.22) (Tekst og foto: Svein-H. Strand) For noen dager siden var jeg en handletur tur i Moss. Jeg hadde god tid, og beina styrte meg som s\u00e5 ofte f\u00f8r ned til det gamle bygningsmilj\u00f8et i M\u00f8llebyen. I enden, n\u00e6r dagens h\u00f8yreiste m\u00f8lleanlegg, st\u00e5r jeg ved det gamle og godt bevarte Folkets Hus (bildene). En dag i mars FOR 54 \u00c5R SIDEN banket jeg p\u00e5 d\u00f8ra der, for \u00e5 tilby mine journalistiske ambisjoner til Moss Dagblad. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"I veska hadde jeg attest fra praktikanttiden i Helgeland Arbeiderblad. Og dokumentasjon for p\u00e5begynt brevkurs i journalistikk. En tid som industriarbeider p\u00e5 Trio-Ving i Moss kunne jeg ogs\u00e5 vise til. <\/span><\/p>\n

Jeg kom til en redaksjon der ambisjonene nok var et hakk st\u00f8rre enn bemanningen, for \u00e5 si det s\u00e5nn. <\/span><\/p>\n

Men Son – og Vestby kommune generelt – var et s\u00e6rskilt satsingsomr\u00e5de, viste det seg. S\u00e5 det var bare \u00e5 stemple inn neste dag, for \u00e5 pl\u00f8ye gjennom kommunale dokumenter fra Vestby. <\/span><\/p>\n

I april sa vi farvel til de gamle lokalene og flyttet inn i nye<\/em> Folkets Hus. <\/span>Der ble jeg «fast ekstrahjelp» fram til jeg fikk et \u00e5rsvikariat i Horten-avisa Gjengangeren til sommeren 1969. Har du lyst, <\/span>s\u00e5 <\/span>LES MER HER. <\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

P.S.<\/em> Frank Berg var en s\u00e6rdeles skrivende redakt\u00f8r. Fine bilder til mange av sine reportasjer tok han ogs\u00e5. Ingen av oss som var der den dagen kommer til \u00e5 glemme synet av Frank som fortsatt satt og hamret ved skrivemaskinen da resten av de gamle lokalene var t\u00f8mt og det siste flyttelasset skulle avg\u00e5rde. S\u00e5 fristende det enn var, slapp vi \u00e5 l\u00f8fte ham opp p\u00e5 lasteplanet sammen med skrivebordet. Han bare smilte, reiste seg og grep skrivemaskinen for \u00e5 ta den med seg inn i Folkevogna. Og i de nye lokalene ble nok et frabe-manus skrevet ferdig.<\/em>
